CW45 Anakin Skywalker Review

Got my 2011 Clone Wars CW45 Anakin Skywalker figure the other day and I was expecting to have to swap his head and also considered swapping out his left forearm so he could hold his lightsaber in two hands…not anymore. He actually is a very good looking figure facially and a very good likeness to his animated counterpart; not as jagged or sharp as some of the pictures online made his face look. Articulation issues aside (ankles and hips) he stands well on his own without his stand. I only added a touch up paint job to his neck (the skin color was way too pale compared to his face) and darkened the shirt collar color as well. Scale wise, he is a shade taller than the new CW40 Obi-Wan Kenobi. I added a soft goods Jedi robe to my Anakin to complete the look. All in all I am very pleased that I didn’t feel the need to monkey with this figure’s head and arm after having the spare part laying on my desk in wait. Besides the issue with his neck paint (I hear there is a white neck version floating around as well), I’d give this figure a solid 8.5 out of 10…a must have for Clone Wars figure collectors.

Here is a close up of his face and a shot of him in his robe.
