TOR Combined Sites Custom Contest ~ Prototype T7 Astromech Droid

For this droid I used the original 1980’s Empire Strikes Back FX-7 Medical Droid’s head with the body and legs of 30th Anniversary McQuarrie Concept R2-D2. The rear wheel and sensor eye were pinched from a Games Workshop 40K Space Marines Speeder Bike. I was confused about a paint scheme, so I went with a very similar dull/dirty metallic base (very much like the original color scheme of the concept R2, but had to repaint the whole model to make the head match the body) with similar blue and gold accent coloring to the above photo.
